Yeast infections symptoms

Yeast infections are more common than people know. This is because people often do not know they have a yeast infection because they think it’s a rash or some other ailment. If you know the signs of symptoms to look for, you can catch a yeast infection before it spreads, becomes especially painful, and becomes serious.

One of the most common symptoms of a yeast infection is itchiness. If any piece of your body is especially itchy and this sensation doesn’t go away for a day or so, then it could mean that you have a yeast infection.

Along with itchiness, inflammation or pain is another major symptom of a yeast infection. If an area of your body is swollen and red, it could mean that the Candida albicans fungus is overgrown in a certain area of your body. The area may be painful all of the time or it may be painful only during certain activities. For example, men with yeast infections report that they often experience pain when it comes to using the bathroom. People also say that pain during sex is also a major sign of a yeast infection.

Burning is another sensation that is a major sign of a yeast infection. Burning can occur while using the bathroom or in general. This is most common with vaginal or groin types of yeast infections.

Blisters and sores are common symptoms or signs of skin yeast infections, especially those between skin folds or in the mouth. These blisters and sores generally come with pain and inflammation. White sores in the mouth that are painless are symptoms of thrush or an oral yeast infection.

A white discharge is a common symptom of vaginal yeast infections. This discharge is generally white, thick in texture, and is often referred to as cheese-like. The discharge is usually accompanied by itching or burning.
